Do you know where Toby Keith lives????

You don't? I DO!!!

Today, I went to pick up horse feed in Norman. Well, while I was there the owner just happened to mention that Toby Keith buys his feed here too. TOTALLY name dropping!! Then he goes on to explain that Toby Keith is his neighbor!!! I said, "So, is he a friendly neighbor?" He goes, "Oh, yeah, really nice guy. He just lives right around the corner. You can't miss it."

Of course, I knew I had to hunt it down so I could blog about it!! HA!! The house was beautiful, well what I could see of it. It didn't seem overtly fancy or over the top. Just a great big piece of land with lots of fencing and horse pens. Sounds like my place except mine is a whole lot SMALLER!!

Get this!! While I was performing my best papparrazzi there was a huge black truck pull into the front gate. Do you think it might have been Toby?!?! Maybe!!! I saw the tour bus so he must be home.

He is a pretty laid back celeb though. He attends just about all the Sooner games and he frequents his OKC hot spot, HERE, pretty frequently.

Well, that's my excitement for the day. If you don't know who Toby Keith is then go HERE.

Psalm 91

Although the "warning" was given to all parents adopting from Guatemala we need to remember who is TRULY standing in the gap for the families!!! I will not link to the article because I do not want to spread the fear that is already running rampant among the adoption community. Instead, I will focus on the PROMISE that is written to me in God's word.

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save "our children" from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover "our children" with his feathers,
and under his wings "our children" will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be "our children's" shield and rampart.

5 "Our children" will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near "our children".

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall "our children",
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning "our children"
to guard "our children" in all their ways;

12 they will lift "our children" up in their hands,
so that "our children" will not strike their foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Our pastor, Keith Moore, has taught a series at church about Divine Protection. I encourage you to go HERE for encouragement and teaching on the protection we are promised by God, our Father. Scroll down the page to 0121 Divine Protection. Right click and the click "save target as". You then save it to the folder of your choice on your computer. Then double click the sermon and it should open and play.

Choose to fill your head and heart with the love and commitment that God has for you and your child.

7 Months Ago Today

Seven months ago today we were out buying a new car. We knew that this car would play a huge part in the life our child someday. It would be there to keep her safe and secure during those bumpy rides or during a spring Oklahoma storm. We spoke about her that day and even discussed that when we return it in three years our daughter would probably be three years old….amazing.

Little did we know that 2,000 miles south of us in a little town called Corrales, there was a little girl being born at that exact same moment. A little girl that will fill the car seat in that new car. We found out about our little Analise just 6 days later. We were so thrilled and overcome with joy. I doubt we will ever be able to put into words the feelings upon seeing her on our computer screen for the first time.

It has been seven months since our precious girl was born. She has already been such a joy to so many lives. She has changed our lives already in so many ways. The biggest way, she made us parents. A responsibility that we do not take lightly and a responsibility that we will cherish in the many years to come.

Happy 7mths. Birthday

Our prayer for you Analise

Numbers 6:24-26
“24 The LORD bless you and keep you; 25 the LORD make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; 26 the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

Bow News is Good News

I've recently started trying my hand at making bows. I never thought I would be one of "those" Mommies who always has a bow on her kids head!! Alas, I am joining the ranks of the "bow heads".

So far, I have the bow part figured out but I can't decide on what clip or barrette to use. I have some bows I bought from this place and they work great. I'm not trying to make knock offs I just would like to know what type of clip it is and where they get it!!! I can't find them anywhere!! If anyone knows, please share the info!!

Here are my first attempts at the "BOWNANZA"!!!

Next on my to do/figure out is the korker bow. I have directions, now I just have to give it a whirl....

Then They Stood On Each Side…..

……holding up his hands until sunset.

This week has been a struggle. A struggle to continue, with joy, the race that God has set before us. We know He is still with us and continues to keep our precious Analise in His loving arms.

Sometimes, when going through struggles, you do grow weary and tired. Tired of all that surrounds your circumstance. Our circumstance happens to be adoption. But we are not the only faith believers to grow tired.

In the book of Exodus you will find a man by the name of Moses. A man charged with leading an entire nation. He was forced to do this: “Call the Israelites to Arms!” He new that God wasn’t going to just swoop down and cast the Amalekites aside. This is what he said:

Exodus 17:9 “Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands. 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. 12 When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

Our adoption of Analise has been a wonderful process. We continue to be at peace but like any parent we are ready for our child to be home and resting in her own bed.

We ask you to “join arms” with us, in faith, believing for the release of Analise from PGN. You all have been our Aaron and Hur. Keeping our arms lifted when we have grown tired. You have kept us steady and we are looking forward to finishing the race with all of you by our sides.

Matthew 18:19
"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”

Poo Poo Paper.....A Post On Poo

Don't you just LOVE the title?? It has meaning-trust me. If you go here, Elephant Poo Paper, you will find a plethora of poo induced paper products. I find this QUITE hilarious & inventive. It is great for the environment and you get to laugh when you say, "Poo Poo Paper".

I found the description for one of the products quite appealing to me. It goes something like this, "Treat yourself or a friend to this stylish notebook which is crafted from hand made paper recycled from elephant poo. They're fun, natural and completely odourless".

Here are my questions:

Do I really want to TREAT myself to a pile of paper elephant poo? No, but I think it would be a GREAT Christmas gift!!

Who gets to do the "crafted from hand made paper recycled from poo". This is HAND MADE people!!! At least you could tell people you gift it to that is hand made....

Did they really have to qualify that it is odourless? Maybe, someone thought it was a scratch "n" sniff paper product.

PS-You can also get blue and pink POO frames to put pictures of your children in too! LOVE IT!!!

PSS-You can also get it in this color, BARK Brown. LOL!!! LOL!!!

Back In the Saddle

A few years ago I was riding my horse and took a pretty nasty dive off the side. Bruised and sore for a few weeks. Now, this was in no part the horse's fault but completey rider error. Basically, I gotta little carried away with my spurs and the horse took off.

Anyway, since then, I have been afraid to ride. The thought of being out of control again scared me stiff. I mean stiff!! I have rode the same horse several times since the incident and I would literally stand next to horse, with my foot in the stirrup, and cry. I love my horse and knew he wasn't going anywhere-it was all in my own head.

Today I decided was the day to conquer the fear and go for it!! It totally helped to have husband there with me to coach me and encourage me. He is so patient and my biggest cheerleader. I did all the excercises and then I walked and trotted the horse. Wow, I thought, I am doing so GREAT. Then he says, now lope a few strides. WHOA!!! Instant TERROR!! That is what I was trying to do when I took the dive. Of course, I cried, and said let's take baby steps. Oh no, that wasn't a good excuse. Again, he was patient and encouraged me step by step on how to stay in control. I swallowed big and trusted what he said. I took off and there we went with NO PROBLEMS!! I felt SO RELIEVED and so PROUD that I conquered my fear!!

Thank you Adam for being my biggest fan and cheerleader!!! I LOVE YOU!!

I documented the occasion!!! Me and my horse, Red Nite.

Passing the PGN Wait...with Candy & Kya Blu

The past week has been a whirlwind and I have lots of pics. But we will start with today and work our way back after this post.

I want to say thanks to Candy for sharing her blessing, Kya Blu, so openly. She has been a godsend in this process and was the first person to talk one on one with me about the reality of International Adoption. She willingly lets me hug and spoil Kya whenever I am with them. Candy, I appreciate you SO MUCH!! I truly value our adoption bond!!! You are my adoption Big Sister!!!

It was a rainy day in T-Town but we didn't let that keep us down!! First, of course, we headed to Kathleen's Kids for some retail therapy. I took several outfits there to have matching bows made for Analise. Here is our time there recapped by Kya Blu!!

Let me show you how that works..

Get a REALLY good grip, then.....
