Insight

Can some of you Momma's give me a little insight on clothes and shoes please??? I would like to know what brands run big, run small or true to size.

Analise is currently 18.6 lbs. and 27 inches long. I have been buying on sale carters clothes in size 9mths & 12 mths. to suffice when we are in Guat for pickup. Then buy more when we get home.

What shoes are good to buy? That will have a little play in size??

Please, please, please give me some ideas!!

She will be about 9 months on pick-up so will probably wear 12 month clothes with sleeves rolled up a little. Carters makes those great scoot pants with the big cuff at the bottom so it can grow with baby. Love those.

I recommend Robeez or the Target version in 6-12 month size (or 12-18). Those puppies never fall off!

Happy shopping!

Shannon,
Bella is just about Analise's size, only she is 29 inches long and 20 lbs. Sheis fitting into Carters 9-12 month onesies and the 9-12 month pants are a little lone. Old Navy 12-18 months shirts fit great and the pants just need to be rolled in the waist. In shoes, she is wearing Robeez 12-18 months and has some room for growth, but they stay on well.

I hope this helps. I know how you are feeling. Oh, socks, 12-18 months... TOO BIG. I would go with 6-12.

Have fun... it's almost time!!!

I LOVE clothes from Old Navy and Target. Also Children's Place. Almost all of the have the adjustable waists now...REALLY helpful.... CP runs alittle big... but well worth it. I like GYmboree but only on the sale rack..I think it's too expensive....

I've gotten Cerah Nikes and shoe from Target... she grows so fast.. sometimes I get a size bigger too...

I hope this helps....

LOTS OF LOVE

Moses was almost exactly the same height and weight when we picked him up. Carters 9 month clothes fit perfectly, but won't fit for long! We have been buying mostly 12 month things now that we are home. We brought two pairs of size 3 shoes and there was no way we were going to squeeze his chubby feet into them:) He is definitely a size 4 for shoes.

Sonja just reached the 20lb. mark and she is just fitting in to SOME 18 month clothing, but it is a little big. She is now fitting into most if not all 12 month clothing. Old Navy, Gap, etc. have a 6-12 mo. size and for the most part those are not fitting. She does fit into the 12 - 18mo. size though. The Children's Place has sizes that match or that are similiar to Gap, Old NAvy, etc. Banana Repulbic, Gap, Old Navy and Piperlime are the same corporationor under the same corporation, so they probably purchase their clothes the same! or from similiar vendors! Shoe size - she will probably fit into a three maybe a four. There are different widths for shoes just like adults. Sonja has a pretty narrow foot and she is fitting into a 4 medium and can wear some wide. What is easiest and actually will grow with her for quite some time is Robeez leather shoes. They come in all sorts of colors and designs and are super cute. Sonja is still fitting into a size 6 - 12 month shoe for robeez, but can also wear the 12-18mo and not look to silly being big. Ok sorry - I'm rambling!

I would say your are good with the 9 months at that size..Madisyn is 22 pound at 17mnts but still wears 12 months clothes..

And shoes we didn't even due shoes on her at that age. The Robeez are really good though for starter shoes. Target sells those also. I'm so happy for you!

Shannon,
I've found Old navy to be true to size. Gap I think runs big and so does Childrens place. I found clothes from babies R us also run big. I would go with 9 months, but keep the tags on until she tries them on. Olivia is 18 months and still wears 6-12months in pants, so your really have to wait see. Childrens place is having some great sales right now. 4.99 for shirts and pants. It won't be long now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am bringing 6months, but Sarah is a little smaller... never trust the weights on the clothing...carters is pretty much accurate, osh kosh runs big, gap runs big...
leather crib shoes (the robeez) work great, and like everyone says Target sells a great replicas, really great cute replicas

Lindsey was not a fan of shoes so she rarely wore them. Children's place and BabiesRus clothes are good,no shrinkage and they wear really well.
